The first appointment is what we like to call an “Ice Breaker” visit. The first session typically lasts 90-120 minutes. Because we have never met before, this appointment is for us to get to know each other. There will also be significant discussion regarding your privacy, fees, and several other logistical matters to address. By the end of the session your counselor will likely be able to provide you with a synopsis of how he sees your current challenge(s)/concern(s) and provide you with a "road map" for how to proceed.
